The use of extended reality (XR) for people with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities (ID): A scoping review

BACKGROUND: New technologies have made rapid advances in the field of assistive (AT), with Extended Reality (XR) offering promising results supporting people mild intellectual disabilities (ID). Yet, design and goals programs for ID may differ from those moderate severe ID. It remains unclear how XR are used to OBJECTIVE: The study we present this paper aimed explore what is known existing scientific literature about XR-based interventions disabilities, including features content technology that factors impact implementation.
